Trees!

I like the two central photos with the immense wideness of the tree foliage . Just think how much torque is applied to those branches, coming out diagonally from the trunk and supporting all those leaves.

And rani's favorite is the first picture because it reminds her of the Haunted Wood from Anne of Green Gables.

The second tree -- in the middle of the street -- is one I walked by almost every day, since it was less than a half mile from our apartment. Because it was in the middle of a busy street, I almost didn't notice it until this day when I decided to photograph trees. My attention was always focused on the traffic. I noticed that there was "a tree." But I only saw this ginormous, beautiful tree with such an incredible lateral reach, when I was looking through my camera lens.

Rani's favorite echoes some of the first interesting photos I took at the Dyrehave in Lyngby.
