I didn’t settle on today's theme until I came back from my walk and looked at my pictures.
Ingrid and Daniela went off whitewater rafting today. I decided to trade a workday today for an extra day off on one of the upcoming weekends, so we can get away for a 3-day adventure. We have two targets: Cahuita on the Caribbean coast and Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja, in the northwest corner of the country. Each is about a 4 h drive from SJ. (Besides, whitewater rafting w/o glasses is no fun and with glasses at the beginning of a 2.5 mo visit is risky. I’ve rafted before and it is fun, but I don’t get the same kick out of it that either Ingrid or Daniela do.)
