It is an interesting challenge to find my “eye” in San José. So far, each day I’ve walked to a different part of the city near where we live. But even the places that overlap on these walks look different each day, as I grow accustomed to my Costa Rica neighborhood.
Here are a few of the better shots from today. I don’t yet like my photographic work here much, but maybe it will come with time. Anyway, it is an interesting experiment to see if I can make visually interesting what I don’t (for now) find visually appealing.

The contrast between the first and second photo here makes me notice and want to point out that probably one of the challenges in San Jose is catching things that are really fleeting. The top photo works because the cross car is in just the right place. The middle photo is more like your Denmark style, and trees don't move much, so you have lots of time to ponder and set up a shot. Anyway, it does take a very different eye to see a shot among things that move than things that dont.
