Cahuita Take 1
7 February 2009
Cahuita is a surf town with a strong Afro-Caribbean influence. There is an odd mix of international “refugees” (dropping out of the rat race and seeking the “pura vida”), descendents of the blacks brought in from Africa or the Caribbean to pick bananas, Latins (Costa Rican and otherwise), and those from a post-hippie surf culture.
ps: We didn't see any girl surfers, but we did eat at “Natural Ingrid”
