Little Lakes Valley

Our eighth (and final) outing in six fantastic vacation days….  Starting from Mosquito Flat at the end of Rock Creek Road, we hiked along a valley filled with high elevation lakes.  Although the altitude was in the range 10,000-11,000 feet, we had acclimatized enough over the past week to be comfortable.  Weather was comfortably warm (too warm for early October at this elevation), and the skies were cloudless.

I think I want to copy your itinerary and do a birthday trip next October. The scenery is so pretty in fall.
