It was a beautiful autumn weekend in Washington, DC. On Saturday, we visited the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, spending the most time in a special exhibit of photographs of nature. Wow! We also walked to the major monuments on the mall and were inspired by the words of Lincoln, King, Jefferson, and Roosevelt. This day was a satisfying antidote for the poison of this interminable presidential election cycle.

Lovely. Although I don't miss that challenging phase in my life, I do miss living in d.c. It's a special place.
