We parked at the Pt. Reyes National Seashore Visitor Center and rode from there out to the lighthouse. In all, the round trip was about 43 miles. The weather was excellent -- relatively speaking. Inland, it was sunny; near the lighthouse, there was intermittent fog and moderate winds. The riding in both directions for the half of the trip close to the Visitor Center was easy — relatively flat with the road in good shape. The middle half of the ride was much tougher, not only because of the fog and the winds, but also because of the many steep rollers and the poor state of the pavement. Still, it was a nice ride.
