Oakland's Lake Merritt

Slate-gray sky reflects off the surface of this urban lake.
Lake water quality seems better and we see more shore birds.
Tiny wedges of color plus subtle textures punctuate a gray canvas.

    Walking around Lake Merritt? You never go there! I love running around the lake, and recently they have done some great improvements to the pavement and landscaping.
